Early Childhood Music

We had some excitement in our early childhood classrooms as the Pre-K and Kindergarten received a special delivery from the farmer at Quiver Farms.  After caring for our chicken eggs for a few days, the children watched in amazement as the chicks hatched and began to grow.  We celebrated our baby chicks in music class with chants and dancing.

The Nursery 2 students loved learning The Chicken Dance.

Nursery 3 had fun pretending to be a chick hatching from an egg with the chant, Peck, Peck, Peck.

Pre-K loves using the rhythm sticks.  Here they are playing and singing along to Stick Tune.

Our Kindergarten is learning to write rhythmic notation.  They created their own 4 beat patterns and enjoyed sharing their patterns with their classmates.
